Food for Thought
Creative Expression: Food for the Heart and Soul
Although a home-cooked meal with hearty ingredients can fill your belly and nourish your body, how do you feed your soul? What fills your proverbial cup and allows you to help fill others’?
Creativity is best served in the container you find most palatable. For some, it’s the arts that hit that sweet spot: painting, collaging, playing music, writing, acting. Although sports aren’t typically thought of as “creative” activities, testing the mind and body’s limits or problem solving on the court are some souls’ bread and butter. Cooking for yourself and others can be a great way to blow off steam or express your creativity. Finding your creative honey pot may take some time, but this article offers some helpful ideas for those who haven’t yet developed their creative outlet, or don’t consider themselves “creative.”
Edinboro Market is proud to offer a space for community members to sell their unique expressions of creativity. Whether its a hand-carved spoon by Wood Bees, a collage-card by Maknificent Designs, or a gorgeous pair of Jewels by Grace earrings (all pictured below), it is exciting to see what people are called to do.
We hope this “Food for Thought” inspires you to find your perfect soul-dish.
These would all make great gifts for your special sweetie as well. 😉
We hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day!
