Seeing spring green? We can’t get enough of this early-in-the-season produce.
What’s Fresh?
This week Squirrel is going nuts over Post Apples and Octagon Acres asparagus, Highland Farm rhubarb, and Boro Sweet Spot cold tea (especially the Elderberry Wine flavor by Happy Mug, pictured.)
Many thanks to the Food Trust’s Pennsylvania
Fresh Food Financing Initiative (FFFI) grant program!
If you’ve been in the Market the last couple of months you’ve probably noticed our new cooler, freezer, and shelving displays. These improvements, along with new point of sale equipment and other behind the scenes items, were funded by a grant through the PAFFFI program. We truly appreciate the additional space to highlight the small farm and food businesses that sell through the Market and the ability to provide more healthy, locally grown food options to our customers. Check out the link above to learn more about this program that increases access to healthy affordable food and builds economic opportunities for healthy grocery outlets.

Seedlings Pick-up and Sale
It’s time to get your gardens growing! Over the next couple of weeks, you have the opportunity to pick up already-started plants from two of our producers.
Octagon Acres: This certified-organic farm is selling seedlings at the market again this year. Current offerings are scarlet kale, white scallions, golden acre cabbage and Italian flat leaf parsley. Look for warm season veggie starts from them in the next week or two. Wild Field Urban Farm: Grown with love in organic, compost-based potting soil, Wild Field Urban Farm will have a variety of seedlings available to purchase this weekend. Farmer Stephanie Ciner will be selling plants out front Friday 5/20 between 10 and 4. If you pre-ordered your seedlings, you can pick them up anytime this weekend,
(May 20-22nd.)
August 14, 2022: Farm-to-Table Dinner!
Remember when we asked you to save the date? We are so excited to announce that we are bringing back our farm-to-table dinner fundraiser! Please join us for a delicious, all-local meal prepared by local chefs and contra dancing by Toppish. All proceeds support Edinboro Market’s dual mission of providing healthy food to those in our Edinboro community and a space for small farmers, food producers, and artisans to sell their goods.
Our goal is to provide access to fresh, locally grown food while being an entrepreneurial marketplace for food producers; and an understanding of the importance of both.
